One Saturday by Reets

The bed shifted slightly and Jack turned over. He smiled at his young lover. But frowned quickly as he watched Mike pull the strings of his tennis shoes tight and lace them. "Where are you off to?" he glanced at the clock. "It's only 6, come back to bed we can get breakfast later." He tugged on Mike's arm, but Mike didn't turn to him.

He finished tying his shoes then slipped up beside Jack in bed. "I've gotta go, there's been a murder, right down the street. Lennie and I were called in." He kissed Jack lightly and tried to skirt away quickly but he was grabbed and rolled. Jack forced his mouth open and kissed him deeply. He moaned as hands began roaming his body. He pushed back and broke the kiss. "Jack, please," Jack bit his neck, then licked the raised skin. "Please Jack don't." Jack had his hands inside his shirt now, rolling a nipple between finger and thumb. "Oh God Jack, come on."

"Don't tell me you're not enjoying this detective." Jack pushed a knee between his thighs and nudged his harden cock.

"I never (gasp) said that but..." He lost his breath as Jack's mouth descended on his again. This time he physically pushed Jack off and trapped him. He was stronger than Jack was and he usually enjoyed Jack's domineering side, but he had a problem today. "Lennie is in the front room right now, waiting on me. I know the man knows the score, but I really don't want him to come in here looking for me, okay?" A nod and he climbed off the bed and tucked his shirt back in. "I'll try to get home for lunch." He ran comb through his hair as Jack pulled on a robe.

"No you won't."

"I'll call you, we'll make plans for lunch ok."

'No detective you'll be too busy for me today."

"Jack, I'm sorry, I didn't ask to be called in, you know that." Jack grabbed his hand and kissed his fingers. Then kissed him on the cheek.

"Mike, it's Saturday, our day together. I can pout if I want to." Mike smiled and hugged him.

"I love you, you know." Jack nodded and pushed him towards the front room.

"You have company remember." He followed Mike into the living room. Lennie had known about their relationship for a while now and accepted it, quietly.

He smiled at Jack and nodded. "I'll try and have him home quickly."

"Just do you job detectives, it's what you do best." Mike kissed him quick and took off out the door, Lennie in tow.

Jack sighed he hated quiet Saturdays. Things weren't so quiet when Mike was around and he liked it that way. They would have their quiet days, but Saturday was for the gym, walks by the lake, basketball games and motorcycle rides. Well pouting wasn't going to get him anywhere. So he made a pot of coffee, showered, shaved and threw on his favorite jeans. He decided to go ahead and have his breakfast and maybe head downtown and finish a few legal briefs.

Logan and Briscoe had made it to the crime scene in record time. "You know Mike I should enter you in the grand prix. I didn't know Saturdays were that important to you."

"Sorry, but Jack and I don't get to see enough of each other as it is. I'd like to try and wrap this up quickly."

"I'm sure the mother of the victim would too."

"You know what I mean, I'll do my job, no question, but it's my day off damn it. I had plans, sue me." He stopped dead, Lennie almost colliding with him as he entered the building. "What's that smell?"

Lennie chuckled. "It's iodine, they must be storing it in here."

"Eww," They talked to the M.E. about the body. They began checking around the warehouse. It was dark as they checked through the hallways. A noise made them jump and Mike pulled his gun. He opened the door quickly and came face to face with a man in his twenties. The man fired off a single shot before Mike could move. It grazed his shoulder and he let one bullet fly, catching the man in the stomach. He slumped down against the door as Lennie pulled away his jacket and checked his shoulder.

"You're ok." He checked the pulse of the other man and shook his head. "I'll get an ambulance."

"NO, it's ok, I'm ok."

"You're going to get that checked, like it or not." Mike conceded and let Lennie help him up. They made it to the car just as they ambulance arrived. "I'll take care of things here." They loaded Mike into the back and took him to the hospital.

Jack skidded to a halt in front of the examination room where Mike was. He gathered his composure as soon as he saw Mike sitting up, talking with the nurse. She was smiling at him as she dabbed alcohol on his shoulder. Jack stepped in the room and Mike nodded at him with a huge grin on is face. The blonde woman skimmed an eye over him. "Only family in the exam room, you'll have to leave."

Jack stepped up to the table and Mike leaned into the kiss. "You okay?" The woman turned pale and swallowed hard.

"This perp got the beat on me. Nicked my shoulder, I'll live." Jack took a deep breath. "I'll need a little TLC though, it does hurt." Jack smiled and clapped him on the back lightly.

"I'll go and let this lovely lady finish you up." the woman didn't acknowledge him, just kept working.

As soon as Jack was out of earshot she glared at Mike. "I can't believe you'd do that in public."

"What?"

"Kiss another man, that's disgusting."

"Do you kiss you mom or sister?" The girl nodded.

“Then why is it so different?”

“You’re…”

“The one paying your salary.” She made a curt gesture toward Mike and finished covering his wound. She stuffed several papers in his hand and barked a few orders about keeping the wound clean, and then she turned and heaved a lung of air as she left. Jack pulled back the curtain and smiled. He helped Mike with his shirt and buttoned the buttons slowly. “You know, you could hurry and get me home.”

“I’m proud of you detective.” Jack said, leaning into kiss Mike on the cheek. “I would have surmised that in that situation, you would have decked the woman, if not shot her.”

“Well, maybe it’s your calming influence over me counselor. I did think about it though.”

Jack winked and walked him out of the ER.
